The Town of Pepperell, is seeking a welcoming Administrative Assistant to join our Council on Aging team.  The Harris Center is an active, social, age-friendly Center for older adults.  This position supports a variety of day-to-day operations under the general supervision of the Director.  This key role provides administrative and accounting assistance to the Department and coordinates volunteer and transportation scheduling for activities and programming.

The ideal candidate will be client focused, highly organized and have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and confidentiality.  Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.  Ability to multi-task and maintain detailed records.  Pleasant and responsive working with staff and members.  Proficient in computer applications especially Excel, Word and Publisher.

High School Diploma; Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.  Some social work with concentration on the older adult population a plus or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  CPR certification and possession of a valid driver’s license will be required.

This position is currently benefited at 24 hour per week, with opportunity to increase hours line with our budget. Hiring range: $22.36 – $24.92 per hour DOQ.  Generous benefits include 3 weeks of vacation, 12 holidays, and health insurance.
