Starting Salary Range: $102,995 – $116,406
Full Salary Range to $129,744 with an excellent benefits package
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, direct, evaluate and exercise general supervision over the work of the department to include the management of staffing, technology, volunteer recruitment, training and coordination, physical facility, and record management.
Develop, manage, and monitor annual operating budget and capital improvement plan.
Oversee Lexington Emergency Financial Assistance Program that includes several streams of funding.
Establish and monitor policy and procedures, as well as adherence to regulations and municipal and State guidelines.
Carry out short- and long-range planning designed to facilitate effective program and service delivery and
uncover the varied and complex needs of a diverse community. Support existing initiatives, including
diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts as well as mental health programs and services.
Act as community resource to promote issues and educate residents on public policy issues and human
service needs in the community. Coordinate and communicate human services needs with other town
departments.
Respond to emergency needs in/around community as needed, including after regular business hours, in
partnership with police and fire services.
Serve as member of various employee and Town committees, as needed.
Prepare reports to state agencies, town boards, committees, and other funding sources. Prepare grant
proposals.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, work collaboratively to set the direction for the municipal
organization, continuously evaluate and improve Town services, and appropriately allocate organizational
resources across Town departments.
