Duties: Employee performs responsible development, implementation and marketing of all senior center programs. Work includes assessing participant interests and needs, recruitment of facilitators, managing calendar of events, arranging rooms and equipment, introduction of guest speakers, facilitating and evaluating programs, maintaining accurate registration and participant data, supervising instructors, volunteers and tax work off participants.

Requirements: A candidate for this position should have an Associate’s Degree and four (4) to six (6) years of experience in recreation therapy (preferably in a senior center or senior care residency) and program development and implementation, and have worked directly with seniors.   The Town may consider equivalent education and experience in determining whether a candidate has met the requisite qualifications.

Special Requirements: A valid driver’s license and criminal history background check (CORI) are required. MCOA Program Certification and NISC Accreditation preferred.
