Hybrid/Onsite in Cambridge MA 02143 (Hybrid: 3-4 days per week on-site)
Duration – 6+ Months (35 hours/week), Possible extension/conversion
Max Pay $37.88/hr with benefit options included
Would like to see strong organization, flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks, event planning experience.
- Assisting Executive Director in creating the center’s theory of change with key performance indicators to measure and forward the impact of the center
- Working closely with Center Leadership to develop fundraising and stewardship strategy including the development of annual reports, relationship management activities, and the creation of other core content
- Planning, managing, and conducting semi-annual advisory board meetings
- Assisting with communications related to donor and key stakeholder engagement
- Building out systems and processes to track relationships with donors and other key stakeholders using Salesforce
- Community-Building
- Coordinating center-wide research sharing strategy for faculty, fellows, staff and students
- Assisting with diversity, inclusion and belonging event programming and initiatives for center
- Where needed, acting as a conduit between Center Leadership and various stakeholders
- Administrative Support
- Assisting the Center Director and Executive Director with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings with internal teams or external stakeholders
- Where needed, assisting the Center staff with tasks center wide whether that be on the Communications and Events team, the Finance Team, Operations and Human Resources
Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years’ work experience in a related role, widely defined – tell us how your previous experiences set you up well for this job!

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
- Interpersonal skills that demonstrate high emotional intelligence, humility, and an eagerness to learn and grow.
- Event planning experience, ideally with high-level donors and/or stakeholders (In-person and hybrid events)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be responsive and empathetic in professional communications and respectful of privacy and discretionary information.
- Equally detail-orientated and a big-picture thinker; and able to easily switch between those two contexts.
- Comfort with learning new technologies, including database, room reservation, email production/delivery, and form builder systems.
Preferred
- Experience and/or interest in roles related to academic or non-profit administration and leadership
- Comfortable in leadership and supporting positions
- Graphic design and/or document prep experience
- Interest in media, public policy, and emerging technologies
- Prior experience with stakeholder engagement
