FreeAccording to the U.S. Department of Labor, the total number of people working part-time voluntarily – 22 million in January 2023 – is now almost six times the 4.1 million who are working part-time but would prefer full-time hours. That is the highest ratio in two decades. Driven by caregiving, burnout, and the economic realities of inflation, the part-time work landscape has shifted dramatically with more opportunities for those seeking flexibility.
