Allyn Gardner’s work as an executive coach and a career management consultant has revolved around helping individuals move forward into positions that reflect their career objectives. He has inspired others to recognize their strengths and accomplishments refine the story of their unique value and to achieve their goals – all of which he finds immensely rewarding. His roles as an executive coach and a career management consultant have provided him with a real sense of satisfaction helping others grow and thrive professionally.

 This ability and what sets him apart, lies in his own career. He’s had extensive experience in corporate talent acquisition, including over 12 years with Fidelity Investments where he was responsible for selecting, interviewing, qualifying and hiring executives, professionals, and high-potential employees. He has also been a managing partner with Brookside Consulting Partners, a career management and executive coaching firm. In addition, he is affiliated with King & Bishop, a Human Resources consulting firm where he advises clients during their career transition, coaches executives and high potential individual contributors to develop their skills. He also facilitates a monthly round table for senior executives in career transition.   

 Further, Allyn delivers interview and network strategy coaching and resume development advice to MBA students at the Harvard Business School and Leadership coaching to business professionals, in conjunction with the Business School’s HBX program. At Babson College, he coaches undergraduate students in the Leadership and Teamwork Program. At the Olin School of Management, Allyn coaches MBA students on their career management plans and goals. His pro bono work has included coaching with the Institute for Career Transition at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and training coaching skills to consultants at the Executive Service Corp of New England.

Allyn holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Massachusetts.  His coach training comes from both CTI and IPEC and he has been certified by ICF. He is certified in the use of DISc.

When he isn’t busy helping his clients define and meet their goals, he is enjoys the constant company of his English Pointer, Del.  He enjoys finding his way around his kitchen, as he is an accomplished cook.  He is an avid nature photographer. A world traveler, he takes great delight in meeting new people and hearing their “story”.
