Public Services Manager (PSM) The Public Services Manager role is central to the work
of the Collins Center. PSMs manage consulting projects in one or more of the practice areas within the Center
and may manage one or more of these practice areas. Responsibilities may include:• business development and maintenance of relationships with clients, • overseeing progress of consulting projects staffed by associates, • managing other Center staff assisting on projects, and • direct provision of consulting services, including data gathering and analysis, interviewing, report
and proposal writing, and presenting findings. The Center is flexible about particular areas of practice for new PSMs and welcomes applications from candidates with any relevant background, broad or narrowly-focused. PSMs are members of the Senior Administrative Leadership Team and as such may be involved in other Center projects and activities such as strategic
planning, grant research and writing, collaborating with UMass Boston staff and faculty, and building relationships with other partners. The PSM is essentially a remote position, with occasional in-person staff meetings and frequent in-person client
meetings across the Commonwealth. Candidates from around the Commonwealth and region are encouraged
to apply. See flyer for details.
